Why Choose ADR

The Case for Considered Resolution

Private by Design

Proceedings remain confidential — protecting business relationships and sensitive information from public court records.

Measured Timelines

ADR proceedings move at a pace appropriate to the complexity involved — without the unpredictable delays of court dockets.

Relationship Preservation

Facilitated dialogue supports parties in reaching workable agreements — often allowing commercial relationships to continue.

Cross-Border Enforceability

International awards carry broad enforcement reach under the New York Convention across 170+ signatory states.

Procedural Flexibility

Parties shape the process — choice of language, seat, arbitrator credentials, and hearing format can be adapted to the dispute.

Cost Transparency

Clear service fees with no hidden charges. Costs are assessed against your dispute's scope before any engagement begins.

Take the First Step

A conversation costs nothing.
Delay often does.

Praya Vow welcomes enquiries at any stage — whether you are assessing your options, preparing for proceedings, or seeking a second perspective on an existing dispute.

Common Questions

What People Often Ask

What is the difference between mediation and arbitration?
In mediation, a neutral facilitator helps both parties explore their interests and reach a mutually acceptable agreement — no outcome is imposed. In arbitration, one or more arbitrators hear the evidence and issue a binding decision, similar in effect to a court judgment. The right process depends on the nature of your dispute, your relationship with the other party, and how much procedural control you wish to retain.
How long does a typical mediation session take?
A single mediation session typically runs between three and six hours, though complex commercial matters may require multiple sessions scheduled across several days. Pre-mediation preparation, including a preliminary assessment and submission of position papers, generally takes one to two weeks before the first joint session.
Are mediation proceedings confidential in Thailand?
Yes. Confidentiality is a foundational element of mediation practice. Before sessions begin, Praya Vow establishes written confidentiality protocols with all participants. Statements made during mediation are not admissible in subsequent proceedings, and the mediator does not disclose communications from one party to the other without consent.
Can a foreign party participate in Thai arbitration proceedings?
Yes, subject to the governing arbitration agreement and institutional rules. The Thailand Arbitration Center accommodates international parties and permits foreign counsel to appear. For disputes involving multiple jurisdictions, Praya Vow advises on seat selection, governing law, and language of proceedings to ensure a workable procedural framework for all parties involved.
What types of disputes are suitable for ADR?
Commercial contract disputes, partnership disagreements, joint venture conflicts, supply chain claims, and cross-border trade matters are among the most common. Family business disputes, employment matters, and construction claims also respond well to facilitated or adjudicated resolution. Praya Vow conducts a preliminary assessment to determine whether your matter is well-suited for mediation or arbitration before any engagement is formalised.
How is the service fee structured?
Praya Vow uses transparent, scope-defined fees. Mediation facilitation starts from ฿7,500; domestic arbitration representation from ฿28,500; and international arbitration advisory from ฿39,200. These figures reflect the base engagement scope. Complex or multi-session matters are assessed individually, and a clear fee estimate is provided before work commences.
